Harvey M. Adelstein

Harvey M. Adelstein, who chairs the NGE Labor and Employment group, has been engaged exclusively in the practice of labor and employment law on behalf of management since 1962. Harvey's experience includes counseling in the administration of collective bargaining agreement, and representing employers in the grievance/arbitration process and in governmental agency proceedings.

Howard L. Bernstein was Counsel to the Chairman of the National Labor Relations Board in Washington, D.C. from 1970 to 1972. Since then he has concentrated solely in representing employers throughout the country in labor relations and employment law matters and employment-related litigation with emphasis on contract negotiations, arbitrations and injunction proceedings, union election campaigns, unfair labor practice cases and employment discrimination matters.

Eugene A. Boyle

Eugene A. Boyle works closely with companies of all sizes, helping them anticipate, avoid, and when necessary, resolve issues and disputes that arise from the complexities of the employment relationship. He regularly assists and supports clients and human resources professionals in such areas as strategic planning, policy development, legal compliance, training, union avoidance, labor negotiations, and employment issues arising in the context of mergers, sales, and acquisitions. Gene is also involved in dispute resolution and litigation and has extensive experience representing employers in federal and state courts, before administrative agencies and tribunals, and in all varieties of arbitration and mediation proceedings.

Victoria L. Donati

Victoria L. Donati provides both litigation and counseling services. She regularly appears before courts and administrative agencies vested with the authority to enforce federal, state, and local discrimination and employment laws, and routinely advises clients on compliance with those laws, focusing on preventive measures and policies that can be put into place to prevent claims and lawsuits from arising. Her clients include employers of all sizes from a wide variety of industries and professions.

In recent years, Vicki has focused on counseling employers regarding various leave-related laws, such as the federal Family and Medical Leave Act and its state counterparts, and on measures to accommodate employees in accordance with the federal Americans With Disabilities Act and its state counterparts. Vicki's practice has also focused in recent years on providing counseling with respect to the viability, advisability, and enforceability of employment agreements, separation and settlement agreements, restrictive covenants and workplace policies, and she often is involved in negotiating such agreements and policies on her clients' behalf.

Jason C. Kim

Jason C. Kim represents employers in arbitration proceedings and litigation matters brought pursuant to a variety of employment-related statutes, including the NLRA, Title VII, the ADEA, and the ADA. He assists clients in union organizing campaigns and represents employers before the National Labor Relations Board in representation and unfair labor practice cases.

Before joining Neal, Gerber & Eisenberg, Jason served as an occupational safety and health officer for the Illinois Department of Labor. He also served as an environmental policy analyst for the government of the Republic of Korea, and as advisor to the Minister of Environment at the Third Session of the United Nations Commission on Sustainable Development.

Harry J. Secaras

Harry J. Secaras has extensive experience representing and counseling employers throughout the country in all facets of labor and employment law and employment-related litigation before federal, state and local administrative agencies and federal and state courts. Harry has defended employers in litigation under the National Labor Relations Act, Title VII, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, and in wrongful termination actions. He routinely counsels employers day-to-day matters involving employment contracts, non-compete agreements, employee discipline and responding to employee complaints or union grievances. Harry also conducts training sessions for managers and supervisors on numerous employment related topics.
